Our Philosophy – High Expectations, Excellent Results
The Renaissance Child’s Place and Renaissance Montessori Internationale are unique programs that support the individual talents and gifts of all students. Director, Linda Klages, is a certified Montessori teacher and administrator who has led top tier Montessori schools throughout the country. She is currently completing her PhD in education and is conducting research for her dissertation. The topic is: Looking Beyond Multiple Choice: Montessori public school teachers and their perspectives on how No Child Left Behind affects their practice. As an advocate for children, Linda has set high standards for her Montessori schools. “I have never seen a child who could not excel under the guidance of the right teacher in an environment where he is respected, nurtured and given a choice of learning materials that match his learning style.”
The vision of RCP and Renaissance Montessori is to offer an opportunity for children to become independent, confident, competent individuals who will lead our world into the future. While these goals may seem lofty at first glance, these children are our future. Here at Renaissance, we provide a rich, broad-based curriculum which challenges the children academically as they work in small groups on reading, math and cultural subjects including foreign languages and art.
