Engineering and Robotics

Instructors needed to immerse our summer campers in beginning and intermediate robotics programs. Ability to relate to elementary and middle school children and allow them to use hands on activities in order to take them through our robotics curriculum. Lego Education materials are used in our programs. Experience with Mindstorm, NXT and EV3 is preferred. Instructors should have a positive work ethic and communicate effectively with children, parents and other staff members. Our team is flexible and needs to multitask. Instructors will also be responsible for supervision, care and welfare of our talented campers. Daily activities include outside activity periods and supervision of these activities is also required. It is important for all instructors to provide a safe and positive learning environment for our campers. Training will be provided in June and assignment to one of our locations will take place during training. We provide camps for the entire summer and need full time workers that can commit to 7 or 8 weeks of work. Salary is competitive, depending on experience. Background check and references required.

Minecraft Guru

If you love Minecraft and would like to share your enthusiasm with our great Minecraft Campers, then please let us know more about your Minecraft life. We are looking for people to introduce Mineccraftedu to our campers this summer. We have been offering Minecraftedu Camps for 3 years and our camps are very popular. Kids come to camp loving the game, but we give them much more because Minecraftdu includes an exciting curriculum that teaches physics, mechanical engineering, probability, paleontology, fractions and much more. Instructors will supervise kids while they are in the game and direct the lessons. Our staff has loved teaching this course and if you love Minecraft, it will be fun and maybe even challenging to you. Instructors will need to be able to supervise the campers and provide a safe and positive learning environment for them throughout the day. Instructors need to be able to teach our campers how to Mod in Minecraft. Experience leading or teaching kids in a camp or school environment is desired. You will be part of a great team that works together all summer to provide a positive experience for our great campers. This is a full time summer position beginning in late June through the first 2 to 3 weeks in August. Salary is competitive and work environment is excellent for those that have a positive work ethic. Training for this camp begins in mid-June. Background check and references required.

Digital Media and Movie Making Instructors

Instructors needed to teach campers the steps of Stop Motion Movie Making. Elementary students build sets out to Lego ‘s and plan their movies and films using webcams. Instructors facilitate the movie making process and edit movies. Music, credits and audio are added and the end result is a polished completed movie project. We are looking for instructors who have excellent communication skills, a positive work ethic and the ability to relate well to elementary age children. You will be part of a great team that works together all summer to provide a positive experience for our great campers. Supervision will include outside activities as well. We can train some candidates, but we are looking for staff that can enhance our programs and have an interest and knowledge in film production. Our kids have a number of technology skills when they come to us, so please don’t underestimate their abilities or ability to learn new things. Our environment is like no other and our staff always feels that they have had a great experience working at Renaissance. Training begins in mid-June and you will need to make a commitment for the entire summer until the middle of August. Salary is competitive and work conditions are supportive and positive.

Java Code Instructor

Renaissance is looking for an instructor to work in our programs teaching kids how to code using Java, The job involves developing curriculum plans for Java coding in Minecraft and helping students learn game design. Ideal candidates will work daily in classrooms and cover multiple technology topics. We are looking for the right person to implement camp curriculum and organize/prepare daily lessons plans. We expect you to inspire campers to think creatively, critically, and innovatively. Management and leadership skills are necessary. Staff will be excellent role models for our great kids. Excellent communication skills and positive work ethic are necessary. Candidate will need to use effective classroom management skills and create a fun environment where everyone feels included. You will work effectively with fellow team members and collaborate on daily basis. The position begins in the middle of June and is full time during the Summer. It is necessary to be able to work until the 2nd or 3rd week in August. Salary is competitive and work environment is extremely positive.
