Save Big With a Little Help From Your Friends

Summer is better with friends. That’s why Renaissance Refer a Friend discount makes it easy to share your summer—and big savings. Whether you’re brand new to Renaissance or already signed up for camp, here’s how you and your friends can each save $25 or more.

What You Will Get:

When a new family enrolls a camper and indicates that you referred them, upon completion of their enrollment, we will discount your final balance by $25 per new camper you refer. This reduction does not apply to each camper YOU have enrolled. It is a credit to your final family balance. Simply email Linda at linda@therenaisancechild.net and provide the family and child’s name that you have referred. When the family registers, you will receive the Refer a Friend Discount. We’ll give you $25 back (or more) every time a new family you refer signs up. Even if it means refunding your entire camp purchase!

What They Will Get:

When a new family enrolls their children in camp and indicates you referred them, we will give them a $25 discount for each camper they enroll. This is in addition to any regular sibling or early bird discounts in effect at the time of their enrollment.

Policies and Procedures

All full day campers are to bring their lunches. Renaissance is a nut free site. NO NUTS PLEASE! We provide a simple snack 2 times a day. Campers may bring their own snack if they prefer.

A Medical Authorization Form is necessary if your child is required to take medication while at camp. Please download this form and other forms located in the dropdown box on the Enrollment Information page and bring the completed forms on the first day of camp.

Outdoor Play

Playing outdoors is a naturally healthy way to have fun! Renaissance believes in the value of sun and fun! We have amazing space outside to enable our kids to play games run and enjoy. We love our playgrounds, fields and parks and utilize them everyday. Frequently, kids eat snack and have lunch outside too.

The Renaissance Difference

Cutting-Edge Technology – Programs Matter

We use only the best technology and have been the first program to introduce Lego Robotics MinecraftEdu, Kano and KIBO to our talented kids. From Game-Based Learning using Minecraft, to LEGO robotics systems, to littleBits magnetic circuitry and Kano, technology plays a key role in every course. STEM education is critical to the future success and prosperity of every child and our nation, and Renaissance always stays ahead of the technological curve by updating existing curricula to meet the latest standards, and incorporating fresh teaching tools as new technologies emerge.

Small Class Sizes & Peer Based Learning – Kids Matter

Our class size allows kids to get the attention they need, while fostering collaboration and teamwork in a peer-based learning environment. Peer-to-peer learning is a natural advantage of the Renaissance program structure. As classes are grouped by program rather than age, there are opportunities for students participating at a more advanced level to share knowledge and guide other students through class challenges. Students are able to spontaneously collaborate with others whom they can identify and build positive relationships with which increases confidence, skills and attitudes.

A Focus on Fun – The Showcase

Our forward-thinking approach allows students to grasp concepts that are fundamental to academic success in a way that feels like play. A key component of our approach to teaching is game-based learning. At Renaissance, we use MinecraftEdu to teach a myriad of different concepts ranging from physics to biology. Many kids already have an engrained love and passion for the game, which brings in elements problem solving that is key to building confidence and retaining information. We engage our kids fully whether they are creating their own movie, video game or coding. Their amazing technology adventures, fun, learning, and imagination can be seen in our well-known Showcase at the end of every day when our kids present their technology projects to parents and guests. Kids truly Shine at Renaissance every summer.

Role Models, Mentors & Teachers- Highly Qualified Staff Matters

The Renaissance Team is one of our greatest assets and is totally dedicated to providing excellent supervision, security and respect for every child. One reason that so many of our campers return to us year after year is because they trust, respect and love our staff. Every year we appreciate and recognize the tremendous talents of our students and our passion is to engage them in cutting edge technology. Certified teachers and skilled college students lead our great programs every summer. They are all highly qualified. Our college students are computer science, engineering, film and game design and robotics majors. They love what they do and connect with our kids to “spark” their curiosity and totally engage them.

Staff is background checked and trained in CPR. Many of our staff works in our camps for multiple years. They truly give 150% of themselves to our great kids everyday and are great mentors and role models. Our Executive Director, Linda, is an experienced teacher and former School Principal. She has been a teacher trainer and has also been the coordinator and director of America Reads and Parent Effectiveness Training. Linda is in all the camps everyday sometimes working with the kids and always listening to them. She believes that the kids and their ideas “drive our camps” and it is her goal to provide a unique environment that always engages every camper!
