Intro to Robotics and Programming With Lego We-Do Robotics, Mbots and NEW Lego Boost

JR ROBOTICS CAMP - Intro to Robotics and Programming With Lego We-Do Robotics & Mbots. and the new Lego Boost Ages 5 to 8

21st Century Skills Pave The Way to Future Success In Life! We make valuable learning fun!

Who doesn’t love robots? Introduce kids to the creative world of coding with the best educational STEM HANDS-ON MATERIALS to foster their curiosities. Building, learning, and programming robots has never been more fun!
Our LEGO® WeDo™ robotics program (1st in the country) helps students beginning at a young age to develop and hone their skills in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
LEGO® WeDo™ Construction kit will be used to design interactive machines with two sensors. The students will learn how to program them on the computers using the drag and drop coding software like Scratch (An open source MIT developed software for children for animation, games and storytelling). The program will give the students an opportunity to explore their creativity and let them put to practice the engineering rules that they have learned.
About Lego Boost

We are so pleased to be able to bring LEGO ® Boost ® to our students at Renaissance! Boost is the newest robotics kit available to our younger robotics kids. Students will build a base robot as they begin to learn the programming process. All instructions and programming are through an App called Boost by LEGO. The Hub of the robot can connect to the tablet using Bluetooth. Once they are comfortable moving their bots they will add a sensor that detects Color and Distance. It can also double as a light!

We will then expand the experience by building Vernie, the robot that moves his arms, turns his head and raises his eyebrows to show expressions. As students build Vernie, the building instructions pause at a few points for programming sessions. At first, the platform will show the kids how to program specific moves, but as they build the bot, students have the opportunity to use what they have learned and program on their own! We are so excited to get programming with Vernie to our campers..

About mbot Robotics

Your children will build their own mBot – a fun but powerful robot with motors, sensors, and the ability to be programmed using the Scratch programming language from MIT (the same language we use in our Video Game Programming courses). Your children will learn by completing a series of fun challenges that will allow them to teach their ‘bot to do surprisingly complex things.

Ideal robot for children to build and code.
MBot is a STEAM education robot for beginners, as well as those who have a little robotics experience, that makes teaching and learning robot programming simple and fun. As they go, they will learn about a variety of robotic machinery and electronic parts, get to grips with the fundamentals of block-based programming, and develop their logical thinking and design.

Construct and code Vernie the Robot to dance, rock out on the Guitar4000, foster Frankie the Cat, interact with the Autobuilder, or explore a new discovery with the M.T.R.4 (Multi-Tooled Rover 4). The IQ-boosting activities are endless!
